Well About me I'm a 3rd generation Floridan and fossil hound that has come to acquire a very large collection over the years that has been past down from my grandfather then to my father then to me while still collecting all the time still to this day and I love take my 4-kids, 3-girls and 1 -boy down to the peace river and other hot spots around Florida about once or twice a month along with North and South Carolina and many other states in the U.S.A. with great success in finding / collecting Fossils, Crystals and Gems of all types. This is something I've found somewhat additive and educational while lowering my BLOOD PRESSURE at the same time. But best of all it's normally a cheap trip to discover some wonderful treasures and provide some great education at the same-time. We as a family have many things that we enjoy doing but by far the study of fossilization and collecting gems, rocks etc. is are favorite thing of all.

Best Fossils found in Florida

The beautiful peace river in Florida holds some of the best treasures this is a spot of Florida has to offer. This is one spot that they can't be missed the peace river holds millions of years worth of fossils and other native artifacts. I have such a very RARE collection I've brought back from that area alone it's incredible. I suggest going when the water levels are at their lowest point of the year so that , it kind of makes for easy pickings..... Good Luck Hounds!
